Local independent media report published

The team consisting of Ulrike Rohn, Andres Jõesaar and Indrek Ibrus worked since Fall 2020 on a study on the value provided by independent local newspapers in Estonia and on how to facilitate their long term sustainability in the rapidly changing economic environment. CFP: Re-introductions to Cultural Science

Cultural Science Journal ( is an Open Access journal that was started by Professor John Hartley and colleagues in 2008 at the Queensland University of Technology. Most recently it has been published by Ubiquity Press and Curtin University’s Centre for Culture and Technology. After 13 years of activity the editorship of the journal is handed over this year to professors Indrek Ibrus and Maximilian Schich, both of Tallinn University. New leadership for MEDIT

Indrek Ibrus, professor of media innovation, has stepped down from the role of MEDIT head. MEDIT council elected Ulrike Rohn, professor of media management and economics and Katrin Tiidenberg, professor of participatory culture to become the new leaders of MEDIT.
