Culture 4D to inform new CoE recommendation

The key findings of the Culture 4D conference will inform the Council of Europe's new recommendation on the management of cultural data.
Culture 4D was a Council of Europe conference hosted by Tallinn University and Estonian Ministry of Culture. It focused on the potential of digital media and networked infrastructures to contribute to the development of open access, civil society, and democracy at large.
The key findings of the conference are set to inform the Council of Europe's new recommendation on the management of cultural data. MEDIT's head Indrek Ibrus is today in Paris to take part in the discussion of the document, which will address issues such as Internet users' right to inscrutability, awareness of personal data tracking and usage, algorithms and their (in)transparency, "information bubbles", open access and cultural services, and more. We are happy that this important work was kickstarted by a conference organised by MEDIT.
