MEDIT's creative and developmental work focuses on developing innovative audiovisual applications in cooperation with institutional partners outside of the university, either private enterprices or public institutions (such as memory institutions or incubators of digital or creative industries).
Our Creative Lab anticipates partnering with Estonian creative industries enterprises in developing experimental solutions. One important focus area of the Creative Lab and other research groups is the reuse of digital cultural heritage and heritage-based innovation, especially the development of educational applications that recycle digital heritage content.
The current technical focus of the Creative Lab is on the Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality solutions. The Lab offers an opportunity to test VR and AR gear and development platforms. Several AR and VR projects that will be co-produced with external partners are currently in their early development phase.
