Berit Renser is a junior research fellow at MEDIT and a doctoral student at the Baltic, Film, Media and Arts School (BFM) in Tallinn University. Her research examines the spiritual-esoteric sphere on social media and its functions as the new source of health and well-being guidance among Estonians. She teaches BA level courses on Social media and trains entrepreneurs on Digital Marketing at the BFM Training Center. She also joins Arko Olesk at the Quest project which aims to define, measure and support quality in science communication. Berit holds a MA degree in Semiotics and Anthropology from University of Tartu and a MA degree from Media Communication from University of Tallinn. Outside of academia, she is a fond traveller and an author of three travel books.
